Meet the Instructor: Eduardo Bajzek (Sao Paulo, BRAZIL)

Eduardo Bajzek
Sao Paulo, BRAZIL

My passion for drawing led me to the architecture college, and later to the architectural illustration field during my professional career.
I have produced more than 1.600 artworks for construction companies, real state offices and architecture firms in Brazil and Portugal.
In 2006, one of my works got an award of excellence by American Society of Architectural Illustration.
The Australian illustrator John Haycraft encouraged me to practice drawing on location. My experience sketching started during a trip to Italy in 2008. Drawing in the streets in the middle of people, feeling and absorbing each particularity, was a fascinating discovery. In October 2009 I joined the Urban Sketching community as a Sao Paulo’s correspondent. Sketching has become part of my routine, and several of my drawings have been featured in local magazines, newspapers and local vernisages.
In addition, since 2008, I’ve been improving my art skills in the Art School of Mauricio Takiguthi, one of the finest painters based in Sao Paulo – Brazil.
I started teaching in 2010, and I am sure this has modified my life in many different ways. Teaching drawing is one of the most gratifying experiences for me.
