After graduating from the Royal College of Art a long time ago, Barry Jackson worked in publishing as a graphic designer and illustrator in the 1970s, but gradually became more involved in teaching. Every now and again he would find time to draw or try to make paintings. Since retiring from his full-time post as a university Pro Vice-chancellor he has found a lot more time to learn to draw, make occasional paintings, and develop his fine-art printmaking. He has been a London correspondent for USK since the blog’s beginning and is one of the founders of USk London.

She is a correspondent for USk’s international blog, and founded USk Israel - regularly leading sketchcrawls and coordinating the Urban Sketchers Israel blog. Sketching is one of Marina’s passions. Everywhere she travels, she takes her sketchbook along with her. But the real essence of urban sketching for her is finding stories in everyday routines, and combining sketching with daily tasks like taking care of her children, working, or running errands. “A sketchbook and a simple pen – that is all you need to go on a journey every day. Drawing is seeing, so you just need to open your eyes wider and start to sketch!”
